Track 01 - Whitby Harbour

A charming coastal resort with the feel of an old fishing port. It has strong associations with Captain Cook and Dracula. The colourful harbour has plenty to hold the visitor's interest and the famous 'Whitby Jet' can be bought in its many forms from shops in the town. The River Esk divides the town and a 1908 swing level bridge links the two sides. The energetic can climb the 199 steps from the harbour to the ruined abbey and parish church.
