Track 11 - Welcome to
Nunnington Hall
The village of Nunnington lies in the sheltered valley of the River Rye. A house is first recorded in this tranquil spot in the 13th century, although the present building dates from the 16th century, but was substantially modernised in the 1920's. Surrounded by extensive gardens, the orchard boasts traditional Ryedale varieties of apples with resonant names such as 'Dogs Snout' and 'Burr Knot'.
